Pandora's Box?

Artwork By Visually Poetic

In Greek mythology, Pandora was said to be the first woman on earth. Legend says that after being ordered Zeus, Hephaestus (the god of craftsmanship) created her using water and earth. The gods endowed Pandora with many talents: beauty, music and persuasion. But the gods also gave her the gift of curiosity.

When the god Prometheus stole fire from the heavens, Zeus took vengeance by presenting Pandora to Prometheus's brother Epimetheus (Both of which were representatives of mankind!). With her, Pandora was also given a beautiful box/jar which she was told never to open under any circumstance. Impelled by the god given gift of curiosity, Pandora opened the box, and with that all evil contained within escaped and spread over the earth like a plague. She hastened to close the lid but all was too late. There was only one remaining thing laying at the bottom of the box, Hope.

Deeply saddened by what she had done, Pandora was afraid that she would have to face Zeus's wrath. However, knowing this would happen Zeus decided not to pass punishment upon her as she had only done what she was made to do.

Now, you all may be wondering why I've chsoen to tell this bizzare story? None of it really has anything to do with making masks or fascinators... or does it???

All shall be uncovered and made clear in the near future!!!
