Feathers and Skulls - Behind the Scenes On Mystic Magic's Halloween Photo Shoot
Halloween is pretty much like christmas to all of us here at Mystic Magic HQ, in fact I think it's even better!
Where else would you get the chance to walk the streets dressed like someone's worst nightmare! - My motto is, trees are decorated for christmas, people are decorated for halloween.
And to emphasise our loving towards this spooktastic of seasons we like to get all crazy creative...
We've very recently just finished shooting with the multi talented Anna Konstantynowicz photography and the beyond amazing makeup artist Hannah Melnyk for our Day of the Dead inspired collection, influenced by aspects of the New Orleans voodoo culture.
It's actually so fresh that you may even be able to get a smudging of the body paints still yet to dry.
Entitled 'The Summoning', here's a few VIP sneaky snap shots of behind the scenes styling to sink your Mystic Magic teeth into and hopefully this may very well have you craving for more!
In our own weird way I wanted to somehow interpret a bizarre storyline of a voodoo witch and witch doctor who set out to summon a sea spirit that ends up possessing the witch and transforming her into a kind of sea goddess. - As Im sure most of you will all know by now just how wacky imaginative my ideas tend to turn out, I never like to keep things plain!
Below is a hint of our sea goddess who is wearing my custom made octobubble headpiece which I was tirelessly working on all through the night to make sure it was finished in time for photographing the next day. Even cooler to know that Yes them bubble baubles actually light up!!
In all this whole style pretty much looked epic and I for one can't wait to see the finished edits. The makeup was truly outstanding!
And finally of course where else would you be if we didn't amp up the excitement by leaving you with a little added extra courtesy of photographer Anna.
Enjoy!
