A Most Curious Affair, Our Award Winning Day...

Sunday the 21st October saw Mystic Magic roll into the fine city of Norwich for an event entitled
'A Most Curious Wedding Fair'.
 

 

We were exhibiting in the Bridal Next category, a section exclusively put together for new and upcoming wedding styled designers. All of which (including us) had to go through a special selection process...

 

The venue was set up in St Andrews Hall, a stunning Gothic cathedral like building located somewhere within the olden parts of the city.

 

 

After a month of much planning and preparation (mainly set out upon my living room floor), our unique table display was designed down to the finest detail. The theme was carefully chosen to be inspired by the 'Brothers Grimm' fairytale books, added in with a hint of glamour, vintage and grunge.
 

 

It wasn't long after having set everything up, a steady stream of mixed business people, fashion lovers, bloggers and wedding couples came about admiring our magical themed spectacular. Everyone's kind comments were unanimous, they had never seen anything like it before!
 

 

 

 

 

Three catwalk shows played on throughout the day. The second of these shows was dedicated to Bridal Next contestants, we were given the amazing chance to have two designs on show. Our first look was a bizarre caterpillar inspired creation combined with a bespoke couture vintage wedding dress thrown together with less than a weeks notice by my fantastic new colleague, Jess  Andrews.
 

 

The second design was a wonderful vintage styled pearl mask design. Both of which were modelled most professionally.
 

 

Among others from Bridal Next, we also got our first experience of the catwalk as we were called upon not once but twice to walk the runway side by side with our design.
 

 

 As we stood anxiously awaiting for the results of the Bridal Next Awards, time stood still in a blur of flashing lights and near silence.
 

 

'and the winner is...Mystic Magic!!!'
 

 

 

The audience cheered and clapped, cameras flashed like twinkling stars and time sped up once more. The judges had all voted unanimously for Mystic Magic. They also agreed that they had never seen such an exciting and inspiring array of designs.
 

 

By winning this amazing award for 'The Most Curious One To Watch 2012', our products will be featured in the appointed Vintage Norwich store 'Antidote', where we will have a magic window display setup. Along with that we'll also have a fully professional photo shoot to look forward to, an exciting feature in the 'Eastern Daily Press' fashion magazine and plenty of photography and blog coverage! #AVeryCuriousWedding 

Plus now after been given two great opportunities we have set future sights on doing the prestigious Norwich Fashion Week 2013.

 

We give out a huge thank you to all the judges and everyone else, there was so much talent to choose from and we feel really honoured to have won.
